Michael Hutt (SWAY Project PI) and Deepak Thapa (Director, Social Science Baha) gave a presentation on the SWAY project to Mr Pradip Gyawali, the CEO of the Nepal government’s National Reconstruction Authority, and members of his executive committee, at Singha Darbar in Kathmandu on 1 August 2019.
The Sway team – Seira Tamang, Mark Liechty, Michael Hutt, and Stefanie Lotter presented papers in the panel ‘Blown out of proportion: When media, literature and popular culture scale events’ at the NEEDS Conference in Uppsala, June 2019.
Joint ELMNR and SWAY Panel at Kathmandu conference of Nepali and Himalayan Studies on the 2015 earthquakes with presentations by Bina Limbu, Manoj Suji, Michael Hutt, Mark Liechty, John Whelpton and Surendra Basnet.
